Autumn Tree in Stirred Air (Winter Tree)
A windswept bare tree extends through the gray facets of the sky. The trunk of the tree is almost indiscernible from the silver-gray background that the branches seem to float in the sky as abstract lines. Egon Schiele inscribed his landscapes with human emotions. The wispy, floating branches are solitary, isolated, and delicate, yet imbued with the will to survive.
